Top-30 Webometrics ranking in Israel

The project ACUMEN, funded by the ERC, collects citation rankings of universities and researchers worldwide. These are published on the website WEBOMETRICS. According to the latest ranking for Israel (December 2016), the PI of this website is ranked in the top 30 in Israel, across all scholarly disciplines.

Some caution is in order here. The data collection is based on Google scholar, which means that some highly cited scientists who never bothered to set up a profile may not show in the ranking, and that others who never bothered to "clean" their profile of article entries by researchers with the same last name and initials may have artificially high rankings.

Still, it suggests that the work our group is doing is not entirely without impact, and I thank my coworkers and collaborators for helping make this happen.
